Dr. Chitra Diwan is a highly qualified Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist specialising in high risk obstetrics and laparoscopic surgery. The first laparoscopic hysterectomy in Dar es salaam, Tanzania was done by Dr Chitra. She is currently working as Consultant with Ministry of Health, Oman.

Dr Chitra has considerable experience in laparoscopic surgeries, ovarian cystectomies, myomectomy, and diagnostic hysteroscopy among others. She has functioned as faculty for 1st National Live Workshop in Gynaec Lap Surgery in Dar es salaam. Dr Chitra has also worked as a lecturer for seven years. She brings rich experience in teaching and guiding students, and effective learning strategies.
